WIRTUALNY KONCERT

Szanowni Państwo,

Konsulat Generalny Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej w Vancouver oraz Vancouver Chopin Society mają zaszczyt zaprosić Państwa na darmowy, wirtualny koncert pianistywraz z Kwartetem Śląskim, którzy wykonają Kwintet Fortepianowy g-moll, Op. 34 Juliusza Zarębskiego. 

Juliusz Zarebski(1854-1885),  jeden z ulubionych uczniów Liszta, byl niezwykle utalentowanym pianistą i kompozytorem, którego kariera przerwana została przez przedwczesną śmierć.  Kwintet Fortepianowy g-moll, dedykowany Lisztowi i napisany na krótko przed swoją śmiercią, uważany jest za najwybitniejsze dzieło polskiej kameralistyki romantycznej.

Projekt zostal zrealizowany we współpracy z Instytutem Muzyki i Tańca w W-wie,  i dofinansowany ze środków Ministerstwa Kultury, Dziedzictwa Narodowego i Sportu.  
 
Czas prezentacji: czwartek,  15 kwietnia 2021, godz. 19:30

The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Vancouver and The Vancouver Chopin Society are pleased to invite you to a free virtual concert featuring distinguished pianist Wojciech Świtała and the Silesian String Quartet, who will perform the Piano Quintet in G minor, Op. 34 by Juliusz Zarębski.

Juliusz Zarebski(1854-1885),  one of Liszt’s favorite students, was a virtuoso pianist of the first order and a master composer whose musical career was cut short by an early death. The Quintet for Piano and Strings in G minor was composed in the year of his death and it is a work of great beauty and originality.

This project was realized in cooperation with the Institute of Music and Dance in Warsaw, and subsidized by The Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport.

This video performance will premiere on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 7:30 pm PST.
Please note that the concert will be available for one month after the date of the premiere.
